One of the most elusive daylily colors other than blue is white. From our earliest years of hybridizing, we have pursued – with some success – at least from a hybridizing standpoint – both colors for decades. 'Steven King' is a gorgeous pastel cream-pink polychrome from our white doubles breeding program. The form is complete and dramatic. The wide throat is yellow, shading into green at its heart. The segments show variable degrees of ornamentation on yellow edges. It was selected by the discerning daylily, hostas, and iris connoisseur, President of the Wisconsin Daylily Society, Steven King, on his visit to Daylily World in 2022 to be his namesake. A reliable rebloomer in zone 6b.
