32" E Re Ex Fr 6"- 6 1/2" This beautiful daylily was named WILD ABOUT SHERRY for two reasons. The color reminds us of sherry wine, and we've never met a Sherry we weren't wild about! Its unique beauty reminds us of a visit to the seashore, where the exotic tide-pools filled with their colorful shells, anemone and starfish reflect of a pink morning sky – or a cool glass of sherry on an afternoon picnic. Not just a glittering, clear, intense peach - with granny apple green throat - bedazzling in a shaft of cool early morning light. The lovely peach color is splashed with pink, which adds to the beauty of the flower. The form is a widespread star, open early, with slightly overlapped petals. The ornamentation of the petals is unique with pleats, piecrusting, tendrils, ruffles and sharks-teeth extending to ½" of the edge. Diamond dusted texture; sunfast substance; sunfast color. The sturdy, strongly recurrent scapes have 3-5 way branching and many buds. Very fertile and a parent of interesting seedlings.
